February Hands-On Mission Activity: Blessing Bags
Help us make blessing bags to be distributed to individuals and families in need in Ames. Blessing bags contain necessary personal items such as toiletries, gloves, a snack, etc. We are seeking donations of:
- Both full size and travel/mini-sized: bars of soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, deodorant for women and men, toothpaste, toothbrushes and dental floss
- Travel-sized Kleenex/tissues and hand sanitizer
- Hot Hands (hand warmers)
- Wash cloths
- Granola bars
- Thin, knit gloves and socks
- Combs, brushes, nail clippers
- Feminine hygiene products
- Gently used purses, fanny packs, backpacks & drawstring bags
Items will be collected in the marked bin in the Gathering Space every Sunday in February. Then, join us to assemble the bags on Sunday, February 23 from 1 to 3 p.m. in Wesley Hall.
