What an evening we shared together at our recent Progressive Dinner! With three generous hosts—Jerry and Bonnie Nichols (appetizers), Jon and Mary Jo Banwart (main course), and John and Jane Jacobson (dessert)—our night was filled with hospitality, laughter, and meaningful connection. We are deeply grateful for their willingness to open their homes and prepare such wonderful food.
This event brought together 14 participants and more than 75 calls, texts, and emails—each one a small step in helping people feel welcomed and included. Along the way, new connections formed simply through the invitation process itself.
We walked from one home to the next, giving us the unique chance to mix up seating, meet someone new, or visit with someone we wanted to know better. With each course came fresh conversation. We learned more about our hosts, and even more about one another. And we laughed—those good, deep, belly laughs that remind us how joyful it is to simply be together.
My heart is full knowing that connections were made that may last a lifetime.
A special thank you to the Wesley Board for encouraging the kinds of gatherings that truly make a difference—food, friendships, and faith shared around the table.
