for Tues., Oct 21 at 6 pm in our sanctuary
We’ve shared a lot of details for next Tuesday’s Church Conference. Last week we posted a lengthy update with details, questions, and responses. Click the button below to see that again (or go to cwames.org/news). Today, two more things:
Between now and Tuesday, we have poster-board sized conceptual diagrams in our Gathering Space reflecting changes that would happen at the various phases we’ve discussed in our info sessions and updates. It’s easier to picture when you can linger over the images. Stop by and take a look. On Sunday morning we’ll have team members available to answer questions before and after worship.
Yes, you can attend by Zoom! Several of you have requested this option, and we’re pleased to be able to offer it with a few caveats:
- Technology is always a bit iffy, so if you’re able to be here in person, that remains the most secure way to know you’ll be able to participate and have your vote count.
- If you wish to vote, you’ll need to do so using the “Chat” feature on Zoom or by stating your vote in the meeting. In either case, your vote will not be anonymous. (All onsite voting will be by paper ballot which is anonymous.)
- Assuming the technology works as planned, Zoom participants will be able to see presentations projected in the sanctuary and hear what’s happening in the room, but we will not be able to offer you a video image of the sanctuary. Persons in the sanctuary may be able to see who is participating on Zoom.
- If a Zoom participant wants to ask a question or participate in any discussion, we’ll have Zoom hosts who will manage those requests and, assuming you have the ability to be heard on Zoom, we should be able to have you heard in the sanctuary (and on Zoom).
Because we’ll need a little time to get our Zoom participants identified and ready to join in, we’re asking you to sign on at 5:45 p.m. that evening.
