Our Money Story 2025
Our church is making a difference. We are part of difference-making stories not only within the Collegiate UMC & Wesley Foundation congregation, but in our community and beyond. How would you tell the story of how we’ve made a difference together? What stories have you heard from others at CW?
Thank you for being part of this church and of the stories we have crafted together. You sustain it by being actively engaged in this congregation, and by your generosity that fuels the work and outreach we undertake together. Our members’ history of committing to give financially and your support of this church helps us to plan and steward our resources wisely.
This autumn time invites us all to think about where we are in the story of 2024. It’s the right time for us to update you on the financial challenges and next steps we were discussing a year ago. We hope it’s also a time when you’ll be considering how your money story for 2025 will include Collegiate/Wesley.
As you consider your financial commitment for 2025, we want to share an update on Collegiate/Wesley’s financial position. Click here for an Information Sheet that shares a bit of the story of our finances since Fall 2023. The Church Council invites you to come to an informational meeting to learn more, ask questions, and offer feedback, at one of the following times:
- Wednesday, October 23, 6:30 p.m., Wesley Hall
- Sunday, October 27, 9:00 a.m., Forum Class and Student Lounge (two groups)
- Sunday, November 10, 11:30 a.m., Sanctuary
We are also sharing a Workbook that will help you explore The Elements of Your Money Story. We’ll be following this “Money Story” theme throughout this season, including in worship starting November 10. If you don’t receive the Workbook by mail, you can obtain a copy on request from the church office.
As we proceed through this season, we invite you to thoughtfully and prayerfully consider your estimated contribution for 2025. Your commitments support our faithful planning. If you’re already giving, perhaps you’ll be led to increase your offering. Or perhaps circumstances will require a different answer. This is a time to consider and share our money stories together—and the ways they intersect to guide us into the future God has for us.
To submit a 2025 Commitment, you can print and return this Commitment form on or before our Consecration Sunday worship at 10:00 a.m. on November 24, 2024. During that worship service, we’ll celebrate all commitments received, stories shared, and gifts given.
